Vintage Tapestry Purse with Kiss-Lock Clasp

This beautiful vintage tapestry purse is in good condition.  It consists of a gold frame, kiss-lock clasp, snake-style chain, with a  cream and black tapestry with floral designs.  Made in Germany or Vienna, this purse was found in a cedar chest of a relative years ago.  I always hoped to learn the story behind it as it looks like it hasn't been used, or if she did maybe once or twice for special occasions.  I believe it was a gift from the 1940s or 1950s.
