Vintage Ceramic Cradle

Possibly from the 1940s or earlier, this little ceramic cradle has a pretty peach rose as a design.  This may be a R.C. Malmaison, but is unmarked.  These little cradles were often given as a betrothal gift or baby announcement gift.  Sometimes these were used as a decorative item, other times people used them on the table as a sugar or cream packet holder.  We have also seen them used as a cradle in a doll house.
